BIG 12 TEST: Duke basketball will open up next season in awesome fashion against exciting Big 12 opponent

Duke basketball did not open the 2024-2025 season against a Big 12 opponent. Their first game of the season was a home game against Maine on November 4, 2024.

However, Duke did have a few exciting matchups against Big 12 teams later in the non-conference schedule:

* November 26, 2024: Duke played Kansas in Las Vegas, losing 72-75.

* Duke also played Baylor on March 23, 2025, and won 89-66. This game occurred during the NCAA Tournament.

While the season opener wasn’t against a Big 12 team, Duke did face strong competition from the conference early in the season.
