Former Georgia Bulldogs running back Branson Robinson has announced his transfer destination as Georgia State.
This move will see him playing under the leadership of former Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee, who is now the head coach at Georgia State. McGee played a significant role in Robinson’s recruitment to Georgia.
Robinson, who was a highly-rated recruit in the 2022 class, has two years of eligibility remaining. His time at Georgia was unfortunately hampered by injuries, including a torn patellar tendon in 2023 and an MCL injury in 2024. In his limited playing time, he demonstrated his potential, notably with a strong performance against Auburn in 2022 and two touchdowns in the National Championship game against TCU.
Joining Georgia State provides Robinson with a fresh start and an opportunity to be a significant contributor under a familiar coach.
