Georgia’s Top Prospects for Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft: Bulldogs Ready to Bite
As the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, Georgia remains a breeding ground for elite football talent, with several Bulldog standouts still on the board. While Round 1 saw the likes of left tackle Amari Beckwith and cornerback Keon Randle snapped up by top-tier franchises, Day 2 promises to be just as exciting for NFL scouts and GMs eyeing immediate contributors with high ceilings. Georgia’s Day 2 prospects are not just depth picks—they’re potential stars.
At the top of the list is Tyreese “Tank” Wallace, the bruising 6’2″, 238-pound inside linebacker who led Georgia in tackles last season. Wallace has sideline-to-sideline range, explosive closing speed, and a fierce downhill mentality. His ability to diagnose plays in real time and plug gaps makes him an ideal fit for 3-4 defenses, especially in need of an enforcer in the middle. Scouts have praised his leadership and football IQ, which echo the traits of former Georgia great Roquan Smith.
Next up is Darian Bellamy, a versatile defensive lineman with the frame (6’5″, 285 lbs) to play anywhere from the 3-tech to a 5-tech DE. Bellamy flashed elite hand usage and a relentless motor throughout his junior campaign, tallying 8.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. What separates him is his adaptability—he’s comfortable setting the edge against the run or stunting inside to disrupt passing lanes. Teams that missed on first-round defensive tackles will be eager to call his name early in Round 2.
Offensively, Zaylen Monroe, Georgia’s smooth, sure-handed slot receiver, is climbing boards. At 5’11”, 192 pounds, Monroe’s agility, burst off the line, and precision route-running make him a mismatch nightmare against nickel corners and linebackers in coverage. He’s drawn comparisons to Amon-Ra St. Brown for his ability to find soft spots in zone and rack up YAC. With 84 receptions and 1,104 yards last season, he was Carson Beck’s go-to target in crunch time.
Another sleeper to watch is Marcus Traylor, the former five-star running back who, despite injuries, showed flashes of brilliance. He combines a powerful north-south running style with surprising elusiveness in the open field. Traylor’s 4.44 40-yard dash at the combine turned heads, especially when paired with his 220-pound frame. He’s a Day 2 value who could thrive in a zone-heavy scheme.
Rounding out Georgia’s top Day 2 prospects is Javon Greer, a ball-hawking safety with a knack for game-changing plays. He posted five interceptions last year, and his instincts in both single-high and two-deep schemes are elite. Teams in need of secondary help and special teams depth will view Greer as a plug-and-play option.
Day 2 might not carry the glitz of Round 1, but for Georgia’s deep and dangerous pool of talent, it’s a launching pad. These Bulldogs are ready to bite, and smart franchises know the value of getting a Dawg on their side.
