Auburn football has been dealt a major blow as standout offensive lineman Bradyn Joiner has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal. Joiner, who emerged as a key contributor on the Tigers’ offensive front, had been projected to anchor the line as the first-team center heading into the 2025 season.
The 6-foot-2, 328-pound lineman from Anniston, Alabama, earned SEC All-Freshman honors in 2024 after starting the final eight games at left guard. His versatility across the interior line, particularly at center, had made him a crucial piece of Auburn’s offensive plans under head coach Hugh Freeze.
Joiner’s rapid rise through the ranks came after initial doubts from the coaching staff. However, through hard work and improved performance, he quickly solidified his role and was poised to be a foundational player for the offense.
His departure leaves a significant hole in a unit that had already been undergoing a transformation via the transfer portal. The coaching staff will now be forced to reassess their depth and potentially seek immediate reinforcements to stabilize the offensive line heading into a critical season.
Joiner’s move is one of the most surprising developments of the offseason and could have ripple effects on Auburn’s 2025 campaign.
