Despite swirling rumors, there is no truth to the claim that Tom Izzo has signed a two-year transfer contract with the Georgia Bulldogs. In reality, the legendary coach remains firmly committed to Michigan State University.

In August 2022, Izzo signed a five-year rollover contract with MSU, earning approximately $6.2 million annually. This deal solidified his long-standing relationship with the Spartans and emphasized his dedication to the program. Under his leadership, Michigan State has achieved a national championship (2000), eight Final Four appearances, and a Big Ten-record 24 consecutive NCAA Tournament berths.

Izzo has long been regarded as the heart of Michigan State basketball, and there is no indication that will change anytime soon. The rumors of a move to Georgia are unfounded and not supported by any credible sources.

Michigan State fans can rest easy — Coach Izzo is staying home.
