Kirby Smart details 3 key injuries from Georgia’s G-Day
Georgia could not avoid the injury bug during G-Day.
Georgia football’s annual G-Day has come and gone, and unfortunately only the fans in attendance were able to take the game in this year as it was not televised. But that just means the media members have a lot more work to do to detail how G-Day went to all the fans at home.
While there were countless positive takeaways from the game, there was also some not so great news as Kirby Smart shared three injuries the Bulldogs suffered during G-Day.
3 injuries from G-Day
The first of three injuries Smart mentioned was to transfer wide receiver Noah Thomas. In typical Smart fashion, he did not share too many specifics as to what happened, but he did confirm it was an AC sprain.
On top of that, linebacker Quentavius Johnson and wide receiver Cole Speer both suffered ankle injuries as well.
One of the most obvious statements in the world is that no one ever wants to see any injuries take place, especially in a glorified scrimmage. But there is good news for all three of these injuries as Smart confirmed that none of these injuries are serious. So after the 2024 season that seemed to be plagued with more injuries than any team should ever experience, it appears the Bulldogs got through this spring without any significant injuries taking place.
So where does Georgia go from here? The Bulldogs now have some time off before summer practices and fall camp begins, and that means anyone who has suffered an injury or is feeling a little sore will have plenty of time to heal up before the team begins their preparations for the regular season.
And hopefully Georgia is able to continue to get by without many injuries, because this team could be very special if they can find a way to stay healthy.
