After First Clemson Visit, Georgia Lineman Says He’s ‘Never Seen Anything So Nice’
A top offensive lineman from Georgia left Clemson University over the weekend with wide eyes and a big impression. Following his first-ever visit to the Tigers’ campus, the high school standout couldn’t stop raving about the experience, saying, “I’ve never seen anything so nice.”
The lineman, whose name is quickly rising on recruiting boards, took part in Clemson’s spring visit weekend, which featured a combination of campus tours, coaching staff meet-and-greets, and an up-close look at the Tigers’ elite football facilities. For a prospect who’s seen his fair share of schools across the Southeast, Clemson made a lasting impression.
“The whole setup, from the locker rooms to the player lounges, even the nutrition center — it’s next level,” he said. “You see pictures and hear about it, but being there in person is something else.”
But it wasn’t just the facilities that caught his attention. The Georgia native spoke highly of the coaching staff, particularly offensive line coach Matt Luke, who joined Clemson in early 2024 after previous stops at Georgia and Ole Miss. “Coach Luke is real,” the lineman said. “You can tell he knows his stuff, but he also connects with players. He wasn’t just talking football — he was talking about life, goals, and who I want to be beyond the game.”
The Tigers’ family-oriented culture and academic support structure also stood out. “I didn’t feel like just another player walking around. Everyone knew my name, they knew my film, and they talked about how they’d support me in every way — not just on the field.”
Though still early in the recruiting process, this visit may have nudged Clemson up his list. The lineman is expected to take official visits to several SEC and ACC programs over the summer, but Clemson has already made a strong case.
“When I left, I was just thinking, ‘Man, how do you top that?’” he added.
For now, Tiger fans will be watching closely to see if this first impression turns into a long-term relationship — and potentially a future commitment. One thing is clear: Clemson left a mark that won’t soon fade.
