According to Jordan Schultz, the Ravens are signing WR DeAndre Hopkins to a one-year, $6 million deal.

The Baltimore Ravens have bolstered their receiving corps by signing veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to a one-year contract valued at $5 million, with the potential to reach $6 million through performance-based incentives.

Hopkins, 32, brings a wealth of experience and accolades to Baltimore. Over his 12-year career, he has amassed 984 receptions for 12,965 yards and 83 touchdowns, placing him among the elite in NFL history. A three-time AP First-Team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection, Hopkins has consistently demonstrated his playmaking abilities since being drafted 27th overall by the Houston Texans in 2013.

In 2024, Hopkins split the season between the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs. He appeared in 10 games, starting five, and recorded 41 receptions for 437 yards and four touchdowns. In the postseason, he contributed three catches for 29 yards and a touchdown over three games. Despite being in his 30s, Hopkins has maintained a high level of performance, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards as recently as 2023 with the Titans.

Joining the Ravens offers Hopkins an opportunity to contribute to a team with a dynamic offensive system led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson. His veteran presence is expected to provide mentorship to younger receivers and add a reliable target in the passing game. The Ravens’ offense, known for its innovative approach, will benefit from Hopkins’ experience and versatility.

The Ravens’ decision to sign Hopkins aligns with their commitment to enhancing their roster during the offseason. By securing a proven wide receiver, they aim to address past challenges in their passing attack and position themselves as strong contenders in the AFC. Hopkins’ ability to make critical catches and his deep understanding of the game are seen as valuable assets to Baltimore’s championship aspirations.

This signing also reflects the Ravens’ strategic approach to free agency, focusing on acquiring players who can make an immediate impact without long-term financial commitments. The one-year contract allows both Hopkins and the team to assess the fit and performance before considering future arrangements.

As Hopkins integrates into the Ravens’ system, fans can anticipate a blend of seasoned skill and leadership on the field. His track record suggests he will be a key contributor to the Ravens’ success in the upcoming season.
