COLUMBUS, Ohio In an unexpected decision on Saturday, four-star cornerback Victor Singleton from the 2026 class announced his commitment to Illinois.
Singleton, who plays for Toledo Central Catholic, had been widely associated with Ohio State throughout his recruitment. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 65 overall player, the No. 6 cornerback nationally, and the second-ranked prospect in Ohio.
The 2026 recruiting cycle features an exceptionally strong group of cornerbacks from Ohio, including five-star Elbert Hill and four-star Jakob Weatherspoon, the latter of whom has already committed to Ohio State.
