Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky Scores Massive Late Addition to Its 2025 Recruiting Class with Towering OT from Tennessee

In a surprise late twist to Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class, the Wildcats have secured the commitment of an absolute behemoth on the offensive line—Jason Ekperuoh, a 6-foot-6, 360-pound tackle out of The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. With this addition, UK now boasts a formidable group of five offensive linemen in the 2025 class, reinforcing its trenches for the future.

A Hidden Gem with Sky-High Potential

Ekperuoh isn’t just another name on the list—he’s an intriguing prospect with immense raw talent, a towering presence, and the potential to become a dominant force in the SEC. Originally from Canada, the young lineman has been flying under the radar in recruiting circles, but that hasn’t stopped Kentucky’s offensive line coach, Eric Wolford, from recognizing his upside.

Wolford first offered Ekperuoh in June, following an unofficial visit that left a lasting impression. Over the next year, Wolford made it a priority to keep tabs on the rising talent, making multiple visits to evaluate his progress. Clearly, the Wildcats saw something in Ekperuoh that the national scouting services may have overlooked—raw power, overwhelming size, and a high ceiling for development.

Building the Wall: Kentucky’s Trenches Get Stronger

With the addition of Ekperuoh, Kentucky’s offensive line haul is officially complete—and it’s looking like a physically imposing unit. This latest commitment brings the Wildcats’ total offensive line signings to five, reinforcing a position group that is crucial for success in the SEC’s high-intensity, physical brand of football.

Ekperuoh also joins defensive tackle Kalen Edwards from Dyersburg, Tennessee, making him the second signee from the Volunteer State in the class. While his commitment won’t impact Kentucky’s No. 25 recruiting ranking due to his unranked status, the Wildcats clearly believe they’ve added a diamond in the rough—one who could soon turn heads once he gets to Lexington and begins his development.

What’s Next for Ekperuoh at Kentucky?

Though he enters the program as an under-the-radar prospect, don’t be surprised if Ekperuoh’s name starts making waves sooner rather than later. With his massive frame, physical tools, and the right coaching, he has all the ingredients to become a dominant force in the SEC. If Kentucky’s track record of developing offensive linemen is any indication, Big Blue Nation might have just landed a future anchor on the offensive line—one who could make life miserable for opposing defenses in the years to come.

Keep an eye on Jason Ekperuoh—he may not have been a household name in the recruiting rankings, but he could soon become a cornerstone of Kentucky’s offensive future.
