Nick Abrams recently had the chance to engage in meaningful conversations with Alabama football’s head coach, Kalen DeBoer, and linebacker coach, Chuck Morrell.
Hailing from McDonogh High School in Owings Mills, Maryland, Abrams is a highly sought-after four-star recruit for the class of 2026.
Earlier this month, the Crimson Tide extended an offer to Abrams, prompting DeBoer and Morrell to travel to Maryland to discuss how he could fit into Alabama’s defensive framework.
“Speaking with Coach DeBoer and Coach Morrell was a great experience,” Abrams shared with Touchdown Alabama. “They focused on my development and outlined how I would be utilized in their system.”
Following their discussion, Abrams felt a strong sense of interest from the Alabama coaches.
“They are very keen on me,” Abrams stated. “I’m a priority for them and high on their list. It’s amazing to know that a prestigious program like Alabama values me, especially considering their track record of developing linebackers for the NFL.”
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 210 pounds, Abrams is a versatile linebacker capable of making impactful plays in space and executing open-field tackles. His athletic ability is highly coveted by college coaches in today’s football landscape.
“My versatility, ability to rush the passer, and dominance in the run game are my strengths,” Abrams told Touchdown Alabama. “I can cover a lot of ground, drop back in coverage, deflect passes, and intercept the ball.”
This promising prospect clearly has the skills that align with Alabama’s defensive strategies and could potentially become a key player for the Crimson Tide in the future.
