Vinnie Sunseri, previously the defensive coordinator at Jacksonville State and a former Alabama safety, has stepped down from his role, as confirmed by Sunseri’s departure comes shortly after being officially named the defensive coordinator on January 2, marking him as the third official hire under first-year head coach Charles Kelly.
Reports indicate that Sunseri has accepted a new position as the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at the University of Florida. This move follows the departure of Austin Armstrong, the previous Florida defensive coordinator, who took up the defensive coordinator role at the University of Houston.
