Draft Guru Makes Historic Ohio State Prediction During National Championship Game

In a commanding performance during the College Football Playoff National Championship, the Ohio State Buckeyes showcased their dominance against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. After a strong opening drive that resulted in a touchdown, Notre Dame quickly lost momentum, conceding four consecutive touchdowns to Ohio State. By the third quarter, the Buckeyes held a commanding 28-7 lead.

This outstanding performance has fueled speculation that Ohio State could set a new record for the most players selected in a single NFL Draft. Currently, the record stands at 15, set by Georgia in 2022. However, draft analyst Dane Brugler predicts that Ohio State could eclipse this with 16 players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. “We’re seeing that play out on the field tonight,” Brugler remarked, referencing the Buckeyes’ sheer talent and depth.

Among the potential first-round picks are offensive tackle Josh Simmons, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, defensive ends Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau, and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams. Additionally, several players, including safety Lathan Ransom, running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, offensive tackle Donovan Jackson, cornerback Denzel Burke, and quarterback Will Howard, are projected to be selected in the second or third rounds. Meanwhile, players like linebacker Cody Simon, cornerback Davison Igbinosun, center Seth McLaughlin, and safeties Jordan Hancock and Sonny Styles are expected to be drafted in the later rounds.

Both Will Howard and Quinshon Judkins significantly boosted their draft stock with standout performances in the title game. Howard displayed exceptional accuracy, completing 14 of his first 17 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Judkins was equally impressive, rushing six times for 88 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding a six-yard touchdown reception.
