Houston Astros star Jose Altuve confirmed today that he will be leaving the team after an illustrious career that spanned over a decade. The news has left the baseball world in shock, as Altuve has long been considered the heart and soul of the Astros and a fan favorite in Houston.

 

Altuve, who joined the Astros organization in 2007 and made his MLB debut in 2011, has been instrumental in the team’s success over the years. He helped lead the Astros to their first-ever World Series title in 2017 and has been a seven-time All-Star, winning numerous awards for his outstanding performance on the field.
