Penn State in the Hunt for Coveted Four-Star Offensive Tackle 🔥
Penn State continues to make noise on the recruiting trail, landing itself squarely in the mix for one of the nation’s top offensive line prospects. Four-star offensive tackle Micah DeBose, out of Vigor High School in Mobile, Alabama, recently trimmed his list to six programs—and the Nittany Lions made the cut.
Joining Penn State in DeBose’s top six are Ohio State, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, and LSU, forming a highly competitive pool of powerhouse programs vying for his commitment. At 6-foot-5 and over 300 pounds, DeBose is ranked among the top 15 offensive tackles in the 2025 class, known for his elite footwork, upper-body strength, and relentless motor in both pass protection and run blocking.
Penn State’s inclusion in his final group is no small feat. Offensive line coach Phil Trautwein has played a major role in building a relationship with DeBose, and the Nittany Lions’ recent success developing linemen for the NFL is helping them stay competitive in top-tier recruiting battles. With offensive line depth a priority for James Franklin’s 2025 class, DeBose would be a massive addition to a unit already trending upward.
DeBose has visits lined up for the summer, including a planned official visit to Happy Valley. The Nittany Lions will look to make a strong impression during his time on campus, especially showcasing their academic support, NIL opportunities, and player development infrastructure.
Landing DeBose would be a major win not just in the trenches but symbolically—it would show Penn State’s ability to pull top talent from SEC territory. As decision day looms, the blue and white faithful will be watching closely.
One thing’s certain: Penn State is firmly in the conversation, and the race for DeBose is far from over.
