🏆 Penn State Wrestling Dominates Big Ten: Undefeated Season Secures 2025 Regular-Season Title
STATE COLLEGE, PA — In a season marked by dominance, grit, and unmatched depth, Penn State Wrestling has done it again. The Nittany Lions have officially clinched the 2025 Big Ten regular-season title after steamrolling through conference competition with a flawless 8–0 dual meet record, capping the run with a thunderous 30–8 victory over #2 Iowa on January 31.
This championship marks Penn State’s 11th regular-season Big Ten title and yet another feather in the cap of legendary head coach Cael Sanderson, who continues to redefine excellence in college wrestling.
“This team isn’t just talented — they’re relentless,” Sanderson said following the Iowa dual. “They train like champions, compete with fire, and support each other like family. That’s how titles are won.”
The Lions displayed dominance across all weight classes, with superstars like Aaron Brooks (197 lbs) and Carter Starocci (174 lbs) remaining undefeated in dual competition. Standout freshmen like Levi Haines and Manny Rojas have also played crucial roles, proving Penn State’s depth is just as dangerous as its frontline firepower.
The turning point of the season came with decisive wins over conference rivals Michigan and Ohio State, but it was the takedown clinic against Iowa — in front of a sold-out crowd at Rec Hall — that sealed the deal and electrified the fanbase.
With the Big Ten dual title secured, Penn State now sets its sights on the Big Ten Championships, and beyond that, the 2025 NCAA Championships, where they’ll be gunning for a record 13th national team title under Sanderson.
If the regular season is any indication, the dynasty is not only alive — it’s thriving.
Penn State Wrestling: Still the standard. Still unbeatable. 🦁💪
